y father-in-law makes fabulous creations from salvaged barn lumber and mirrors. This past summer, he surprised me with this official Junkologie sign. He even etched the mirror himself. He is brilliantly handy...a gift that I am grateful he passed on to his son!
Below is one my favorite photos of him sporting his Junkologie shirt and pink tools at the Junkologie Blog Party 2009 at the Oronoco show...

He's trying to overcome his shyness! :) Can you tell?
On the other side of the family...

She said my junking influence is rubbing off on him, but maybe it's the other way around. Can you think of a better repurpose for these two garden implements? I can't! Well done, Dad!

6 bits of junking wisdom:
How fun that you have a family that "gets it!" What a gift!
Tell your Dad it is an absolutely ingenius use of vintage garden tools. Love it!
I love both of their sense of humor...that's so obvious! But maybe that's what it takes to junk...you gotta be a little tetched in the head!

So you come by it naturally! Love your Dad's pumpkin creation!
Let me try again...
The picture cracks me up (of the pumpkin your dad made!) FUNNY! It's fun to see we are rubbing off on our families! I've got my brothers, dad and a few male cousins searching and saving "treasures" for me! Who knew that would happen?!!
Isn't is great when our families are behind us 100% no matter what we do? How blessed are we to have that kind of support?!! LOVE that Junkologie mirror!
